Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 5 June 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") governs your use of DueVestor and applies to every user, account, and integration. By using the service you agree to these rules; we may suspend or terminate access for violations.

1. Scope

This Policy supplements our Terms of Service and applies to all use of the DueVestor platform, APIs, reports, and related services. "You" means the account holder and anyone acting under your credentials. Where this Policy and your contract differ, the stricter restriction applies.

2. Lawful use only

You may use DueVestor only for legitimate business due-diligence purposes and in compliance with all applicable law, including data-protection law (GDPR, CCPA, the Israeli Privacy Protection Law), anti-discrimination law, consumer-reporting law, and export-control law. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to investigate any subject.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not use DueVestor to: break any law or regulation; infringe intellectual-property or contractual rights; transmit malware; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or account; resell or sublicense the service without authorization; or generate content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or deceptive.

4. No misuse of OSINT and due-diligence data

Reports aggregate open-source intelligence (OSINT) for business decision-making. You must not use them for stalking, doxxing, unlawful surveillance, harassment, blackmail, or to make decisions about a person's credit, employment, housing, or insurance in a way that triggers consumer-reporting law (DueVestor is not a consumer-reporting agency). You must not enrich, scrape, or re-identify data beyond the lawful purpose of your engagement.

5. Respect for subjects of investigation

You must not use DueVestor to harass, intimidate, threaten, or invade the privacy of any subject. Do not target individuals on the basis of a protected characteristic. Treat report subjects' personal data as confidential, retain it only as long as your lawful purpose requires, and honor any data-subject request you receive.

6. Platform integrity

You must not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the platform without our written permission; circumvent rate limits, quotas, or authentication; scrape the service with automated tools outside the published API; reverse-engineer the service; or interfere with other users' access.

7. Fair use and reasonable limits

Usage must stay within the limits of your plan. We may apply reasonable technical limits (rate limits, concurrency caps, fair-use thresholds) to protect service stability. Sustained automated load beyond your entitlement, or use designed to evade billing, is a violation.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate access, remove content, or report unlawful activity to the authorities. Where practical we give notice and an opportunity to cure, but we may act immediately for serious or repeated violations, or where required by law.

9. Reporting and contact

To report abuse or ask a question about this Policy, contact [email protected]. We review every report and respond as quickly as we reasonably can.
